Pay: $2,314.80/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Denver, CO. The NICU RN will provide specialized care to critically ill or premature newborns, ensuring safe, high-quality, and compassionate treatment in a high-acuity neonatal environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert nursing care to premature and critically ill newborns in the NICU.
  • Monitor infants’ vital signs, ventilator support, and responses to treatments.
  • Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer prescribed medications, therapies, and nutritional support.
  • Provide education and emotional support to parents and families about their infant’s condition, care needs, and discharge instructions.
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, and progress in compliance with facility protocols.

Qualifications

  • Active RN license in Colorado or a compact state.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent NICU nursing experience (travel experience preferred).
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications (additional facility-required certifications as applicable).
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test.
  • Strong critical-thinking, assessment, and decision-making skills in high-acuity neonatal care.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in a sensitive and family-centered environment.
