Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) / Operating Room Technician (ORT) - Travel Position  
Location: Denver, CO 
Job Type: Travel Contract   
Duration: 13 weeks  
Shift: 3x12s Days 
Pay: $1758/week 
Completion Bonus: Up to $4800 total. (You will receive $1600 after the successful completion of each of your first 3 contracts with us)

Job Description:  

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) / Operating Room Technician (ORT) to join our surgical team. This essential role is critical in ensuring successful patient outcomes by maintaining a safe, sterile environment and expertly assisting the surgical team. The CST/ORT will be primarily responsible for scrubbing, anticipating the needs of the surgeon, and meticulous management of instruments and supplies across a variety of surgical specialties.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Expertly prepare the sterile field, pass instruments, supplies, and equipment to the surgeon, and anticipate procedural needs during surgery.
• Strict adherence to aseptic technique throughout the entire surgical procedure, ensuring patient safety and infection control.
• Account for all instruments, sponges, and sharps before, during, and after surgery with meticulous accuracy.
• Work effectively with the Circulating RN, surgeons, and anesthesia providers to maintain workflow and communication.
• Ensure accurate surgical record keeping using the required Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

Qualifications:  

• Active license in Colorado. Willing to review candidates with a pending state license (if applicable). 
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent Operating Room Technician (ORT) certification preferred.
• 1-2 years of recent OR experience across multiple specialties.
• Epic experience is REQUIRED.
• Navy blue scrubs REQUIRED.
• COVID vaccine and recent TB test are required.
